Key Gen 6 upgrades include a factory flat-faced trigger, a completely redesigned Optic Ready System (ORS) that replaces the old MOS plate system with a deeper, more secure direct-mount interface, a new RTF6 grip texture that blends aggressive purchase with everyday comfort, an integrated palm swell, undercut trigger guard, enlarged beavertail, and a return to the simpler single captive recoil spring used in earlier generations. How Purchasing Works at Jett's Firearms

We sell firearms exclusively at gun shows in North Carolina. This page explains the complete purchasing process, what's required by law, and what to expect at the show.

Step-by-Step Purchase Process

  1. Browse Inventory OnlineView all available firearms on this website. Product pages show real-time stock status.
  2. Reserve Online (Optional)Submit a reservation for any in-stock firearm. We confirm within 48 hours and hold the item at our table. No payment is taken online.
  3. Attend the Gun ShowFind the Jett's Firearms table at the scheduled show. Walk-ins are welcome, but reserved items are held first.
  4. Complete the 4473 FormYou'll fill out ATF Form 4473 (Firearms Transaction Record). This is required by federal law for all dealer sales.
  5. NICS Background CheckWe submit your information to the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System. This is instant in most cases.
  6. Payment & TransferOnce approved, you pay and take possession of your firearm. Cash and card accepted.

FFL Compliance Explained

Jett's Firearms holds a Federal Firearms License (FFL). This license is required to sell firearms commercially. It obligates us to:

  • Run NICS background checks on every buyer
  • Maintain records of all sales (ATF Form 4473)
  • Refuse sales to prohibited persons
  • Comply with state and federal transfer laws

Yes. All purchases from Jett's Firearms — a licensed FFL dealer — require a NICS background check. This is federal law and applies regardless of the location of the sale.

FFL stands for Federal Firearms License.
